There’s no better time to start your own year-round garden than right now. Many people look forward to one of the most exciting times of gardening – planting. Why relish that excitement only once a year. Why not enjoy it every month of the year, right along with the delight of delicious and healthful homegrown food?
Come learn how to use succession and high intensity planting, how to manage a year-round garden, and how to grow a lot of food in a small space. See for yourself how to use different types of climate control structures and micro-climates to grow your own food in any season.
In this hands-on workshop, you’ll participate in Pemberley Farm’s year round garden, and see it for yourself. We’ll observe together a few structures and micro-climates, plant some seeds and starts, watch bed preparation and weed control and sample a little harvest from the garden. Our farm uses strictly organic methods and the instruction is tailored to those methods.
Because I think it is most effective to learn hands-on, in small groups, this workshop is limited to 12 participants. Please RSVP via our contact form here or call (801) 404-0189. Participation is by reservation only. Participants must be 12 years old or older. There is no cost for the workshop. Donations to the farm are welcome. I hope you can come.
